Honiton Surgery, Sid Valley Practice & Coleridge Medical Centre are launching a brand new Primary Care Mental Health Team. This pioneering service will work across the surgeries providing support to patients with mild-moderate mental health needs.
We have recently employed two Mental Health and Wellbeing Coaches to pilot a small scale service, providing up to six 45 minute sessions. These 1-2-1- sessions will explore what matters to you, areas of your life you would like to improve, set goals and support you to achieve them. Sessions could include:
- Managing Emotions
- Coping Skills
- Anxiety and Depression Management
- Mindfulness
- Creating Healthy Habits
- Accessing advice and information services
- Non-medical community integration
We are curently taking a small number of referrals for this pilot service from GPs, starting in January. If your GP thinks you may benefit from this exciting new service they may speak with you regarding a referral.
