Armed Forces Day – Saturday 27th June 2020.

Armed Forces Day is a chance to show support for all the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from veterans to currently serving troops, service families and cadets.

This national event is normally marked in Sidmouth with a local event/ parade and fair supported by Scout and Guide associations. This year will inevitably be curtailed by COVID19.

Sid Valley Practice will be recognising and promoting the identification of Veterans during this time. Our Veterans policy is aimed at raising the profile of Veterans and trying to identify them especially at new registration.  For more information or to register as a Veteran please click https://www.sidvalleypractice.nhs.uk/patient-info/military-veterans/.

All veterans are entitled to priority NHS treatment for any condition related to their service. This includes veterans who do not receive a war pension. Priority treatment includes assessment, treatment, aids and appliances for conditions accepted as being due to their service.
