For advice and treatment today, you may be able to use other NHS services, including:
- Your local community pharmacist for advice and treatment of many common illnesses and minor conditions including:
- emergency contraception
- sore throats
- sinusitis
- uncomplicated UTIs (women age 16 to 64 years)
- infected insect bites
- shingles
- rashes
- NHS 111 (online or by telephone) for urgent prescriptions required within 4 days.
- NHS App or online services to access test results, order repeat prescriptions and manage appointments where available.
- Minor injuries unit for appropriate injuries located at Honiton Hospital and Exmouth Hospital.
If you have a medical emergency, such as severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of a stroke or another life-threatening condition, please call 999 or attend your nearest Emergency Department immediately.
