They provide nursing care to patients confined to their homes, especially the elderly and give practical advice or assistance to patients, relatives and carers in coping with illness at home.

As part of Devon Doctors continual drive to improve the quality of care across the Out of Hours Service, we provide a Single Point of Access for patients requiring a District Nurse. This will be a direct telephone line to our Co-ordination Centre for the out-of-hours period 17:00 hours through to 08:00 hours Monday to Friday and 24 hours at weekends and Bank Holidays.  The telephone number for the new District Nurse Single Point of access is 0845 2419 130 or 01392 269475
