Extended Hours Access

We are pleased to offer extended opening times here at Sid Valley Practice. Extended Hours appointments are available during the times detailed below. It should be noted that only certain GP’s are offering this service at this time, and Extended Hours Access appointments are different to Improved Access. These appointments are by way of Telephone and Face to Face. Please telephone the surgery for booking.

Monday:      07:15-08:00 / 18:30-19:15

Tuesday:     07:00-08:00

Wednesday: 07:45-08:00 / 18:30-19:00

Improved Access

GP appointments are now available in your area during the evenings and at weekends.  To book an appointment, contact the appointments team at the practice by calling 01395 512601.

NHS 111

If you need to call the out of hours service, the telephone number you must ring is: 111

The 111 service will help you to find the right care to meet your needs including the Devon Doctors service.

Please amend your address book and your ‘speed dial’. This number is free of charge to ring from landlines and mobiles although you will need 1p credit on your mobile phone.

Exeter NHS Walk-in Centre

You can see an experienced nurse for treatment of minor injuries and illnesses, seven days a week, 07:30 – 18:00 Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 18:00 on Saturday and 10:30 – 16:30 on Sundays.

They also provide a contraception service 09:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday and 11:00 – 14:00 on Saturday. Book an appointment or just walk in.

Local Pharmacies

Your local pharmacist will be able to give you free health advice. Many pharmacies operate extended hours on a rota basis. For up to date information on opening hours click here or call 111 for details.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
